The 2nd Sunday of Advent is heralded with a lot of snowfall! A winter wonderland stretches in front of our window and yesterday’s snowman almost disappears under the fresh white beauty. Before we wrap up to explore the fresh snow, we enjoy a delicious Sunday breakfast. 🙂 Weiterlesen
Winter time = virus time! In addition to fresh air and enough sleep, vitamins help to fight the influenza. That’s why we’d like to introduce you to some breakfast smoothies today: Weiterlesen
Short days, wet snow and flu alert – December can sometimes give us a nasty little grin. Therefore it seems to us the perfect time to cuddle yourself in a warm blanket, grab an exotic muffin and a travel guide and travel – at least with your tongue and your mind – to warmer climes … 😉 Weiterlesen
The autumn wind swirls coloured leaves through the cool air. Yellow. Red. Orange. In the bare tree tops and on the electrical lines the last birds gather and fly in large swarms to the south. Our thoughts follow them. Towards the Mediterranean Sea, across Turkey, the Arabian Peninsula and the former Persia. Up to India.
This recipe from Amma Nishi will let you travel along – at least for a meal, I promise! 😊 Weiterlesen
Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, has a high priority in our Indian-Swiss family. We decorate our apartment and our garden with lamps and lights and celebrate in the evening by candlelight a Pooja. Autumn lurks behind the next corner. Trees and bushes are still green, but their tops are already shimmering slightly yellowish. Apples and pear trees groan under their weight, and the peasants in our village harvest lots of grapes and pumpkins. High time for a delicious, simple – and as usual vegan – pumpkin soup recipe! 😊 Weiterlesen
One of the hottest summers in history (according to the records) is slowly coming to an end. Oh, how we enjoyed it: swimming, hiking and yoga in the garden, Nicecream, vegan BBQs, vegetables and herbs directly from the garden – and hours and hours of playing in the forest. The thermometer still shows 30°C, and we still have a few weeks of river swimming and sea bathing. However, the light coldness in the early morning hours and the birds on the electricity wires clearly show: Autumn is on its way!
We look very much forward to the colourful season with pumpkin soup and fruit bread. To get into the right autumn feeling, we have developed a vegan version of the tasty Lucernese gingerbread – fast, easy and super yummy! 😊 Weiterlesen
